I’ve been familiarizing myself with my camera and practicing up a little bit on macro photography. Most should have an idea what Macro photography is. It’s basically taking photos of small subjects and showing them from an up close and personal perspective. There is more to macro photography than you may think. Aside from the technical aspect, it requires quite a bit of patience and even more luck.
The list of equipment that I used to take these shots was my Canon SX30 IS digital camera, A Raynox DCR-250 conversion lens, Fotomate LP-01 focusing rail and a cheapo tripod. For post processing I used Corel PaintShop Pro X3 to add that little extra zing. ![]()

Yesterday I tried to get a picture of a roly poly. I couldn't get that thing to stand still long enough to focus on.
I think the site looks better like this too. It's easier to see what's going on. |
